Carolyn Wagner is a mindfulness teacher and an artisan jeweler. She completed a five-year program at UMASS Medical School and is now a trained MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) teacher. Additionally, she is a certified .b mindfulness teacher. She owns sukiblue a small artisan jewelry company, exhibits her work in galleries, and teaches jewelry workshops.

Carolyn has worked at Pomfret School since 1997. In addition to her role as School Counselor, she teaches a course on mindfulness, and facilitates a weekly meditation group. Carolyn’s undergraduate study in psychology led to graduate work and a degree from Rhode Island School of Design, where she received a departmental award for developing a course curriculum on enhancing creativity. The studio component of that degree was in textile design. Carolyn’s more than thirty-five years of experience working with young people and their families include the New Hampton School, New Hampton, NH, and Butler Hospital/Brown University, and the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. She and her partner Mike operate Hamlet Hill, a USDA certified organic farm in Pomfret, CT.
